DocsCold Outreach: Getting Started
What Cold Outreach is, who can use it, and how to launch your first sequence
Cold Outreach lets you run multi-step cold-email sequences to prospects who have not opted in yet. You connect dedicated sending mailboxes, import a list of leads, build a sequence of steps with waits between them, and launch. Laureo paces every send within enforced per-mailbox limits, spaces sends with jitter inside recipient business hours, and pauses any mailbox whose bounce rate climbs too high. Replies land back in your normal email inbox, where you triage them and promote the good ones into real CRM records.
- Cold Outreach (this section): cold-outbound sequences to prospects who have not consented yet. Dedicated sending mailboxes, managed ramp, enforced caps, compliance footers. Ultra-only.
- Campaigns: bulk marketing email to consented contact groups, with A/B testing and follow-ups. A separate product with its own settings and meter.
- Email Outreach (1:1 & Bulk): 1:1 and small-batch email from your own connected inbox, including replies and contact-group sends.
Open Marketing in the sidebar and choose the Cold Outreach tab. Inside Cold Outreach, the workflow is organized into four sub-tabs:
- Sequences: create, edit, launch, pause, and resume your cold sequences.
- Leads: lead lists, import (CSV, Excel, or JSON), per-list lead counts, and the active-leads gauge.
- Mailboxes: the connected sending mailboxes, their health, and pool capacity.
- Analytics: reply-primary metrics, per-step funnels, and revenue attribution.
Sequences and lead lists are owned by the person who creates them. Sales reps work the full author-run-triage loop on their own sequences and lists, and see replies only to their own sequences. Sales managers see and manage the sequences and lists owned by their team. Admins have organization-wide access and are the only role that can connect or disconnect sending mailboxes and edit organization-level outreach settings. Reps and managers see the Mailboxes tab as read-only.
