Customize how the companies list looks and behaves — columns, density, sorting, default filters, and notifications
Tune your view from a slide-in panel on the list, or from a full settings page.
Company list settings control how your companies table is presented to you — which columns appear, how dense the rows are, how many records load per page, the order they sort in, and more. You can reach these settings two ways, and they always show the same values:
Choose which columns appear in the table.
Toggle individual columns on or off to build the view you want. Standard columns such as type, primary contact, status, industry, owner, and last activity can each be shown or hidden, and any custom fields configured for companies appear here too. Hidden columns are remembered so the table looks the same the next time you open it. If a custom field is later removed by your admin, it simply drops out of your column choices automatically.
Set how much vertical space each row takes.
Choose between Comfortable and Compact. Comfortable gives each row a little more breathing room and is easier to scan; compact fits more companies on screen at once, which is handy when you are working through a long list. Pick whichever suits how you read the table.
Control how many companies load on each page.
Set how many records appear before you need to page forward. A smaller page size loads faster and keeps scrolling short; a larger page size lets you see more companies without paging. The pagination controls at the bottom of the list always reflect the page size you choose here.
Pick the order the list opens in.
Choose the field the list is sorted by when it first loads, and whether it sorts ascending or descending. You can sort by created date, company name, value, last contacted, or next follow-up. New companies are shown first by default (created date, newest first). You can still click a column header to re-sort at any time — the default sort just decides where the list starts each time you open it.
Keep a key column visible while you scroll sideways.
Pin a column so it stays in place when the table scrolls horizontally. Freezing the company name, for example, keeps each row identifiable while you scroll right to read its other columns. Set it back to none at any time to let every column scroll freely.
Decide which companies the list shows by default.
Set a starting filter that is applied every time you open the companies list — for instance, opening straight to active customers or to a particular type. You can always clear or change the filter on the list itself; the default just decides what you see first.
Focus the list on the companies assigned to you.
Turn this on to default the list to companies you own. It is a convenient way to keep your own book of business front and center without filtering by owner every time. This is purely a convenience filter — it narrows what is displayed, never what you are allowed to see (see the note below).
Pre-fill fields when you create a company.
Set the values you want pre-filled on the create-company form, such as a default type or status. When you add a new company most of your records share, these defaults save you a few clicks. You can always change any pre-filled value before saving the new company.
Choose how you are told when a company changes.
Control the notifications you receive about companies — for example, when a company you own changes status. For each event you can choose whether to be notified in the app, by email, or both. Company status-change notifications are sent to the company's owner, so you are told about changes to the records you are responsible for.
Changes save themselves and follow you across devices.
There is no save button. Every change you make autosaves the moment you make it, and a brief saved indicator confirms it. Because the panel and the settings page read and write the same preferences, a change in one shows up in the other immediately — and because they are stored on your account rather than in the browser, they follow you to any device you sign in on.
