Switch between light, dark, and system themes, and set the text size on a phone
Navigate to Settings > My preferences > Appearance to select your preferred theme. Three options are available:
- Light: A bright interface with light backgrounds and dark text. Ideal for well-lit environments.
- Dark: A darker interface with dark backgrounds and light text. Reduces eye strain in low-light conditions.
- System: Automatically follows your operating system's theme preference. When your OS switches between light and dark mode, the CRM follows suit.
When set to System, the CRM detects your operating system's current theme preference using the prefers-color-scheme media query. If your OS is in dark mode, the CRM displays the dark theme. If your OS is in light mode, the CRM displays the light theme. Changes to your OS theme are reflected in real time without needing to reload the page.
When you select a new theme from the settings page, the change is applied immediately across all pages and components. There is no need to refresh the page or restart your session. The transition is smooth and all UI elements update at once.
Your selected theme is stored locally in this browser, so it persists across sessions on this device. It is not saved to your account and does not sync across browsers or devices. Set your preferred theme on each browser or computer you use.
For quick access, a theme toggle button is available at the bottom of the sidebar. Each click cycles through the three modes in order: Light → Dark → System. This lets you switch themes without navigating to the settings page. The current mode is indicated by the icon displayed on the toggle button.
On a phone, open Settings > My preferences > Appearance and choose a Text size. Five options are available:
- System (the default): follows the text size set on your phone. On an iPhone, the app reads your text size setting, including the larger accessibility sizes (text stops growing at 160 percent), every time it opens or comes back to the screen.
- 90%: slightly smaller text, so more fits on the screen.
- 100%: the standard size, whatever your phone is set to.
- 115% and 130%: larger text. At 130%, rows that show a label beside a value put the label above the value, so neither is cut off.
Most reading text grows fully; controls and titles grow less, so they still fit.
Most names, list and menu rows, chat messages, form labels and captions follow the size you choose, and rows grow taller to fit them. Button, tab and segment labels grow by up to 20 percent, and page, sheet and panel titles by up to 30 percent, so controls and headers keep their shape. The tab bar labels, counters and icons stay the same size, and so do the field labels on a record page and the text of an email you open. Text you type never drops below the size that stops your phone from zooming in on a field. The change applies straight away, with no reload.
Text size applies on phone-sized screens, which is also where the setting appears. On wider screens, such as most tablets and computers, nothing changes; use your browser's zoom there. On an Android phone, System leaves text to your browser, which already scales pages with your device's font size, and the percentages work as on any phone. Like the theme, your text size is stored in this browser on this device: it is not saved to your account and does not sync to your other devices.
