DocsAI Preferences (Memory)
Save preferences the assistant should always honor across conversations.
Preferences are short facts the assistant injects into every chat. Examples:
- "Always cc my manager on customer emails"
- "Prefer short replies, under 80 words"
- "I cover EMEA accounts only"
- "Never propose actions for accounts in legal review"
Preferences are private to you and your organization. They never override security rules or your role's permissions.
There are two ways to manage preferences:
- Settings page: visit Settings → AI Preferences. Add, edit, or delete preferences with categories.
- Chat slash command: type
/remember <fact>in chat to save inline. Use/forget <text>to remove a matching preference.
Limits: max 50 active preferences per user; each preference up to 280 characters.
Saving or removing one from chat leaves a short line in the conversation rather than a message that disappears: "Saved to your preferences." with the exact text quoted back, or "Removed from your preferences." Beside it, Forget this reverses a save in place (and becomes Undo afterwards), and Open takes you to the full list. Nothing is sent to Laureo when you save a preference, because saving one is not a question.
