Attach, link, and create files from one Files tab on companies, people, projects, and deals
Documents you upload to Laureo and files you link from Google Drive or OneDrive now live in the same list.
Files on a record used to be split across two separate sections — one for files uploaded into Laureo and another for files linked from the cloud — and uploading to Laureo only worked on companies. That is now a single Files tab on every record: companies, people, projects, and deals/opportunities. One list shows every file regardless of where it lives, and one + Add file button is the only place you add anything.
Every source is a peer in one menu.
Click + Add file and choose a source. The sources you see depend on which cloud integrations your organization has connected, but Upload to Laureo is always available.
Uploaded and linked files together, newest first.
Every file on the record appears in one list, sorted newest first. Each row shows the file name, a quiet source badge so you can tell at a glance where it lives — Laureo, Drive, or OneDrive— the size, and the date it was added. The actions on each row depend on the source: Laureo files can be downloaded, cloud files can be opened in their provider or previewed in place. Files that arrived from an email carry a quiet “from email” label and flow into the same list.
The most important distinction — the two have very different consequences.
Because the list mixes files stored in Laureo with links to files in the cloud, the removal action is labelled differently depending on what it does, so the consequence is never hidden behind an identical trash icon.
Store a document directly in Laureo from any record.
Attach existing Drive or OneDrive files, or start a new document.
To attach a file that already lives in the cloud, use Link from Google Drive or Link from OneDrive and pick the file. To start something new, use New Google Doc, New Google Sheet, or New Google Slides— the document is created in Drive and linked to the record immediately. Linked files open in their provider or preview inline, and you can take them off the record at any time with Remove link without touching the original. The full details of connecting and managing cloud storage live in Cloud File Management.
