Opportunity Detail Page

A comprehensive view of a single deal with inline editing, risk assessment, activities, and change history

Everything About a Deal in One Place

The opportunity detail page gives you a 360-degree view of a single deal. From here you can edit deal values inline, assess risk, log activities, manage quotes, review change history, and take actions like cloning or creating a project from a won deal. The page is organized into a two-column layout with the most critical deal metrics on the left and supporting details on the right.

Action Buttons

Quick actions available at the top of every opportunity detail page.

Watch

Subscribe to notifications for this opportunity. When watching a deal, you receive alerts whenever there are updates such as stage changes, new activities, or value modifications.

Enrich

Trigger data enrichment to pull in additional context about the associated company and contacts.

Clone

Create a duplicate of this opportunity with all fields copied. Useful when creating renewal or follow-up deals for the same company.

Edit

Open the full edit form to modify all fields at once. For quick changes, many fields also support inline editing directly on the detail page.

Create Project

Available only for opportunities in the Closed Won stage. Converts the won deal into a project for delivery tracking and post-sale management.

Clone for renewals
When a deal closes, use Clone to quickly create the renewal opportunity. The clone copies the company, value, and key fields so you only need to update the close date and any changed terms.

Deal Risk Assessment

An automated risk indicator that helps you identify deals that may need extra attention.

Every opportunity displays a deal risk assessment at the top of the detail page. The system evaluates several risk factors and assigns an overall risk level.

Low Risk

The deal is progressing well with no significant risk factors identified. Recent activity is on track and the close date is within a reasonable timeframe.

Medium Risk

Some risk factors are present. This could include a stale last activity date, an approaching close date with the deal still in an early stage, or missing key information.

High Risk

Multiple risk factors are flagged. The deal may have gone stale, the close date may be overdue, or the deal has been in the same stage for an unusually long time. Immediate attention is recommended.

Risk factors update automatically
The risk assessment recalculates whenever the opportunity data changes. Logging a new activity, updating the close date, or advancing the stage can all reduce the risk level.

Left Column

Key deal metrics and timeline information.

Deal Value Card

Displays the deal amount with inline editing — click the value to change it without opening the full edit form. Below the amount, a probability progress bar shows the current close probability as a visual indicator. The weighted value (amount × probability) is displayed underneath and updates in real time as you adjust either the amount or probability.

Timeline Card

Shows three key dates: the Expected Close Date (with overdue highlighting), the Created Date (when the opportunity was first added), and the Last Activity date (when someone last interacted with the deal).

Next Step Card

Displays the current next step for the deal with inline editing. Click the text to update it directly. Keeping this field current helps your team understand what needs to happen next at a glance.

Right Column

Supporting details, history, and related records.

Details Card

Core opportunity fields including stage, deal type, forecast category, owner, pipeline, deal source, competitor, and currency. Each field can be edited from the full edit form.

Tags

Add and remove tags to categorize the opportunity. Tags are shared across your organization and can be used to filter opportunities in the list view.

Description

A free-text area for detailed notes about the deal. Supports longer-form context that does not fit into structured fields.

Custom Fields

Any custom fields configured for opportunities in your organization appear here. Values are editable through the edit form.

Quotes

View and manage quotes linked to this opportunity. Create new quotes or attach existing ones to keep pricing proposals connected to the deal.

Stage Requirements (coming soon)

A Stage Requirementscard — surfacing the per-stage checklist configured by an admin — is on the roadmap for the opportunity detail page. When shipped, it will list every checklist item for the deal's current stage with a checkbox you can toggle. Required items will be marked with a red asterisk, and a green Ready to advance badge will appear in place of the N/M required counter once every required item is complete. Today, the underlying configuration endpoints exist (see Pipeline Configuration), but the detail-page card is not yet rendered — the checklist data persists at the API layer until the UI lands.

Activities

A chronological feed of all activities related to this deal — calls, emails, meetings, tasks, and notes. Log new activities directly from this section.

Change History

An audit trail showing every modification made to the opportunity, including who made the change, when it happened, and the old and new values. This is particularly useful for tracking stage progressions and value changes over time.

Create Project is only available for won deals
The Create Project action button only appears when the opportunity is in the Closed Won stage. If you do not see the button, check that the deal has been moved to Closed Won first.

Inline Editing

Edit key fields without leaving the detail page.

Several fields on the detail page support inline editing for quick updates. Click on the field value to enter edit mode, make your change, and press Enter or click away to save. The following fields support inline editing:

  • Deal Amount — click the value in the Deal Value card to update
  • Next Step — click the text in the Next Step card to edit

For all other fields, use the Edit action button to open the full edit form.

Invoices

View invoices linked to this opportunity.

The Invoices section on the opportunity detail page shows all invoices associated with the deal. Each invoice displays:

  • Invoice number — clickable link to the invoice detail page
  • Status badge — color-coded status (Draft, Sent, Paid, Overdue, etc.)
  • Due date — when payment is due
  • Amount due — remaining balance
  • Total — the full invoice amount

A count badge in the section header shows the number of linked invoices. If no invoices are linked to the opportunity, the section shows an empty state message.
