DocsCreating & Managing Tasks
Create tasks with priorities, tags, reminders, calendar sync, and related records
Creating a Task
Add a new task from the Task Board, a project, a company, or anywhere in the app.
Open the task create dialog
Click New Task in the top-right corner, click the + icon at the top of any kanban column to pre-select that status, press n on the Task Board, or press Ctrl+Shift+N from anywhere in the CRM.
Enter title and description
The Title is required. The Description supports rich text with basic formatting, links, and checklists for inline subtasks.
Set priority and due date
Pick a Priority (Low, Medium, High, Urgent) and a Due Date. Overdue tasks are highlighted in red.
Add tags
Use the Tag selector to attach one or more tags. Type to search existing tags or hit Enter on a new term to create it on the fly. Tag chips appear on the card and are filterable.
Set a reminder
The Reminderdropdown schedules a notification relative to the due date: at due time, 15 minutes before, 1 hour before, 1 day before, or a custom offset. Reminders fire in-app and via the user's configured notification channels.
Link a related company or person
Use the Related company and Related person selectors to link the task to CRM records. Linked tasks appear on the company and person detail pages under the Tasks section.
Toggle calendar sync
If you have a connected calendar, flip Sync to calendar on to push this task to Google or Outlook. The toggle is disabled when no calendar is connected.
Assign and save
Pick an Assignee and click Save. The task appears in the correct status column immediately (optimistic update).
Quick-Add Inline Flow
Create a task without opening a dialog.
Click the inline + Add task link at the bottom of any board column (or the last row of list view) to reveal a compact input. Type a title and press Enterto create. The task inherits the column's status and defaults to Medium priority with no due date. Press Esc to cancel. Use the full dialog when you need tags, reminders, or related records.
Task Fields
Complete reference for every field on the task form.

|---|---|
| Title* | The name of the task. |
| Description | Rich-text details, instructions, and inline checklists. |
| Priority | Low, Medium, High, or Urgent. Color-coded badge on the card. |
| Due Date | The deadline. Overdue tasks are highlighted in red. |
| Tags | Free-form tags; create new tags inline. Used for filtering and grouping. |
| Reminder | Notification offset relative to the due date (at due, 15m, 1h, 1d, or custom). |
| Related Company | Link the task to a company. Surfaces on the company detail page. |
| Related Person | Link the task to a contact. Surfaces on the person detail page. |
| Sync to Calendar | If a calendar is connected, pushes this task as an event on its due date. |
| Assignee | Team member responsible for the task. |
| Project | Parent project. Leave empty for standalone tasks. |
| Status | To Do, In Progress, or Done. Determines the kanban column. |
Editing Tasks
Update details inline or in the detail panel.
Click any card to open the detail panel. Every field is inline-editable; changes save automatically. Priority, status, and assignee can also be edited directly from the card via right-click context menu without opening the panel.
Completing Tasks
Mark tasks done from the board, detail panel, or via keyboard.
Drag a card to the Done column, toggle the completion checkbox in the detail panel, or press c on the focused task. When calendar sync is on, completing the task marks the calendar event as done (and removes it from upcoming views after the due date).
Deleting Tasks
Remove tasks that are no longer needed.
Use the Delete action in the detail panel or context menu. An undo toast appears for 5 seconds. After that, the task is permanently removed and, if synced, its calendar event is deleted as well.
