Customize how the people list looks and behaves — columns, density, sorting, and default filters
Tune your view from a slide-in panel on the list, or from a full settings page.
People list settings control how your contacts table is presented to you — which columns appear, how dense the rows are, how many records load per page, the order they sort in, and more. You can reach these settings two ways, and they always show the same values:
Choose which columns appear in the table.
Toggle individual columns on or off to build the view you want. Standard columns such as name, email, phone, job title, company, and department can each be shown or hidden, and any custom fields configured for people appear here too. Hidden columns are remembered so the table looks the same the next time you open it. If a custom field is later removed by your admin, it simply drops out of your column choices automatically.
Set how much vertical space each row takes.
Choose between Comfortable and Compact. Comfortable gives each row a little more breathing room and is easier to scan; compact fits more contacts on screen at once, which is handy when you are working through a long list. Pick whichever suits how you read the table.
Control how many contacts load on each page.
Set how many records appear before you need to page forward. A smaller page size loads faster and keeps scrolling short; a larger page size lets you see more contacts without paging. The pagination controls at the bottom of the list always reflect the page size you choose here.
Pick the order the list opens in.
Choose the field the list is sorted by when it first loads, and whether it sorts ascending or descending. You can sort by created date, name, or company. New contacts are shown first by default (created date, newest first). You can still click a column header to re-sort at any time — the default sort just decides where the list starts each time you open it.
Keep a key column visible while you scroll sideways.
Pin a column so it stays in place when the table scrolls horizontally. Freezing the name column, for example, keeps each row identifiable while you scroll right to read its other columns. Set it back to none at any time to let every column scroll freely.
Decide which contacts the list shows by default.
Set a starting filter that is applied every time you open the people list — for instance, opening straight to a particular company, department, or just your primary contacts. You can always clear or change the filter on the list itself; the default just decides what you see first.
Choose how you are told when a contact changes.
Control the notifications you receive about people from the settings panel on the list. For each event you can choose whether to be notified in the app, by email, or both. These preferences are part of your overall notification settings — open Manage all notifications from the people settings page to review every category in one place.
Changes save themselves and follow you across devices.
There is no save button. Every change you make autosaves the moment you make it, and a brief saved indicator confirms it. Because the panel and the settings page read and write the same preferences, a change in one shows up in the other immediately — and because they are stored on your account rather than in the browser, they follow you to any device you sign in on.
