DocsGoals Preferences
Set your personal defaults for how the Goals page opens — default tab, period, goal-type and status filters, sort order, and which summary cards show.
Tune how the Goals page opens from a slide-in panel on the page, or from a full settings page.
Goals preferences control how the Goals page opens for you every time you land on it — which tab it starts on, which time period, goal metric, and status it pre-filters to, how the goal list is ordered, and which summary cards appear above it. You can reach these preferences two ways, and they always show the same values:
- The preferences panel — open it from the gear icon on the Goals page. It slides in from the right so you can change a setting and see it take effect the next time the page opens.
- The settings page — go to Settings > Goals for the same controls laid out on a full page, useful when you want to review everything at once.
| Field | Description | Type | Default |
|---|---|---|---|
| Default tab | Which tab the Goals page opens on. Everyone can choose My Goals. Managers and admins also see All Goals and Teams as options, because those tabs are manager-only. If you save a manager-only tab and later lose that access, the page quietly opens on My Goals instead. | Dropdown | My Goals |
The three filters below decide where the goal list starts on the My Goals and All Goals tabs. They never touch the Teams tab, and you can still change any of them directly on the page — your defaults just set the opening state.
| Field | Description | Type | Default |
|---|---|---|---|
| Default period | Pre-filter goals by their time period. Choose All periods, Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, Annually, or Custom. | Dropdown | All periods |
| Default goal type | Pre-filter goals by their metric. Choose All goal types, or any of the ten metrics: Calls Made, Emails Sent, Meetings, Activities, Tasks Completed, Deals Added, Deals Progressed, Deals Won, Revenue Won, or Pipeline Created. | Dropdown | All goal types |
| Default status | Pre-filter goals by completion status: All statuses, In progress, or Completed. | Dropdown | All statuses |
The summary cards are the three stat tiles above the goal list — Active, Completed, and Avg Progress. Turn any of them off to hide it; turn all three off to hide the card row entirely. Like the filters, sort order and card visibility apply to the goal tabs only, not the Teams tab.
| Field | Description | Type | Default |
|---|---|---|---|
| Default sort | How the goal list is ordered: Newest first, Progress (high to low), Progress (low to high), Name A–Z, or Target (high to low). | Dropdown | Newest first |
| Show “Active” card | Show or hide the Active summary card above the goal tabs. | Toggle | On |
| Show “Completed” card | Show or hide the Completed summary card above the goal tabs. | Toggle | On |
| Show “Avg Progress” card | Show or hide the Avg Progress summary card above the goal tabs. | Toggle | On |
The panel doesn't set any notification toggles itself. Because goal-progress notifications belong to the whole notifications system rather than just this page, the panel links out to them instead of duplicating them:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Goal notifications | Choose which goal-progress updates notify you. The “Manage goal notifications” link opens your Notification settings. |
There is no save button. Every change you make saves the moment you make it, and a brief Saved indicator confirms it (you may see a quick Saving… first). Because the panel and the settings page read and write the same preferences, a change in one shows up in the other right away — and because they are stored on your account rather than in the browser, they follow you to any device you sign in on.
