AI Reports

Ask the assistant to build and run reports

Overview

Describe the report you want in plain language and let the assistant build it.

You do not have to open the builder to get a report. Ask the assistant for what you want to see — “revenue by owner this quarter” or “how many deals did we lose last month and why” — and it lists the matching built-in reports, runs one and shows the result inline, or builds a new report and saves it for you. Report names in its replies are links: click one to open that report in the gallery, where you can reopen, filter, and export it normally.

What You Can Ask

Three things the assistant does with reports.

  • List reports — Ask what reports exist for a topic and the assistant points you at the built-in and saved reports that fit.
  • Run a report — Ask a question the data can answer, or name a report outright (“run the Sales Forecast report”), and it runs the right one, applies the period you mentioned, and shows the numbers in the conversation. Built-in and saved reports both resolve by name, so you do not have to look up an exact id first.
  • Build a report — Describe a chart you want and it assembles the data source, groupings, metrics, and filters, shows you a plain-language summary to approve, then saves it as a report you can keep.

How the Numbers Are Trustworthy

Every AI-built report runs through the same engine as one you build by hand.

An AI report is not a guess at a number — it is a real report configuration the assistant fills in, validated and then run through the exact same reporting engine as a report you build in the builder. That means the figures respect your permissions and your organization's data the same way, and nothing is invented outside what the data actually contains.

See how it was calculated
Every AI-produced result comes with a How this was calculated summary — the data source, the groupings, the metrics, the filters, and how many rows were scanned. You can read exactly what the number is measuring and, if you want, open the saved report to adjust it.
You confirm before a report is saved
When you ask the assistant to build a report, it does not save silently. It first shows a readable summary of what it will create — the data source, the groupings, and the metrics — so you can confirm it matches what you asked for before the report is written to your gallery.

Plan Availability

Which plans can build reports with the assistant.

Asking the assistant to build and save reports is available on Pro and up. On every plan the assistant can still help you find and understand your existing reports; authoring new saved reports through it starts at Pro.

Counts toward your saved reports
A report the assistant saves is a normal saved report and counts toward your plan's saved report limit, just like one you build by hand. If you are at your limit, the assistant tells you rather than silently replacing an existing report.
