Customize how the sales order list looks and behaves — columns, density, sorting, default filters, and order notifications
Tune your view from a slide-in panel on the list, or from a full settings page.
Sales order list settings control how your sales orders table is presented to you — which columns appear, how dense the rows are, how many orders load per page, the order they sort in, and which orders the list starts on. You can reach these settings two ways, and they always show the same values:
Choose which columns appear in the table.
Toggle individual columns on or off to build the view you want. The available columns are the SO number, customer, status, fulfilled, to ship, and total — each can be shown or hidden. Every column is shown by default, and any columns you hide are remembered so the table looks the same the next time you open it.
Set how much vertical space each row takes.
Choose between Comfortable and Compact. Comfortable gives each row a little more breathing room and is easier to scan; compact fits more orders on screen at once, which is handy when you are working through a long list. Pick whichever suits how you read the table.
Control how many sales orders load on each page.
Set how many orders appear before you need to page forward — 25, 50, or 100. A smaller page size loads faster and keeps scrolling short; a larger page size lets you see more orders without paging. The pagination controls at the bottom of the list always reflect the page size you choose here.
Pick the order the list opens in.
Choose the field the list is sorted by when it first loads, and whether it sorts ascending or descending. You can sort by created date, SO number, status, total, remaining to ship, or last updated. New sales orders are shown first by default (created date, newest first). The default sort simply decides the order the list opens in each time you come back to it.
Decide which sales orders the list shows by default.
Set a starting status filter that is applied every time you open the sales order list — for instance, opening straight to open orders, or to a stage such as partially fulfilled, fulfilled, partially invoiced, invoiced, closed, or cancelled. Leave it on Any status to show every order. You can always clear or change the filter on the list itself; the default just decides what you see first.
Focus the list on orders still owing a shipment.
Turn this on to default the list to open orders that are still owing a shipment — the orders you most likely need to chase. When it is on, it takes precedence over the default status filter, so the list opens straight to your backorders. It is a convenience filter — it narrows what is displayed, never what you are allowed to see (see the note below).
Choose how you are told when a sales order or shipment changes.
Control the notifications you receive about orders and fulfillment — when an order is received, assigned to you, changes status, or is cancelled, and when a shipment is shipped, delivered, or hits an exception that needs attention. For each event you can choose whether to be notified in the app, by email, or both. These order notification controls live in the slide-in panel, and the choices you make here are your overall notification preferences for orders and fulfillment.
Changes save themselves and follow you across devices.
There is no save button. Every change you make autosaves the moment you make it, and a brief saved indicator confirms it. Because the panel and the settings page read and write the same preferences, a change in one shows up in the other immediately — and because they are stored on your account rather than in the browser, they follow you to any device you sign in on.
