Calendar Preferences

Set how your calendar opens and looks: default view, density, week start, CRM layers, event defaults, and focus mode

Two ways to open your preferences

Tune the calendar from a slide-in panel on the page, or from a full settings page.

Calendar preferences control how your calendar is presented to you: which view it opens in, how tightly events are packed, which day the week starts on, which CRM signals overlay the grid, and more. You can reach these preferences two ways, and they always show the same values:

The preferences panel: open it from the gear icon on the Calendar page. It slides in from the right so you can change a setting and see the calendar update behind it right away.
The settings page: go to Settings > Calendar for the same controls laid out on a full page, useful when you want to review everything at once.

Your view, not everyone's

These preferences are personal to you and follow you across devices. They are stored on your account, not in one browser, so signing in anywhere brings the same calendar. Changing your default view, layers, or density only affects how the calendar looks for you. Your teammates keep their own preferences, and nothing here changes the events themselves.

View

How the calendar lays out when you open it.

Default view	The view the calendar opens in. Choose Day, Week, Month, or Agenda. You can still switch views from the toolbar at any time, so this just decides where the calendar starts.	Week
Default view on phone	The view the calendar opens in on a phone. Choose Day, Month, or Agenda. Week is not offered here because seven columns are unreadable at phone width. This is kept separate from Default view above, so your phone and your computer can each open the way that suits them.	Day
Density	Automatic, Comfortable, or Compact spacing. Automatic uses compact spacing on a phone and comfortable spacing on a larger screen. Comfortable gives events a little more room everywhere; Compact tightens the geometry everywhere so more of the day fits on screen. Event text always stays legible at any setting.	Automatic
Start week on	Which weekday the week and month views begin on. Choose Sunday or Monday.	Sunday
Hide weekends	Collapse the Saturday and Sunday columns in the week and month views, so the grid shows only the working week.	Off
Show working-hours band	Shade your working hours on the week grid as a faint band, so you can see committed and offerable time against your normal day.	On

CRM layers

Which CRM signals and own-data layers overlay the grid.

Layer preset is a quick way to switch a whole bundle of overlays on at once. Pick Revenue at risk (invoices due, quote expiries, and deal close dates), Delivery (project timelines and campaign sends), or Pipeline (deal close dates and quote expiries), or leave it on Custom to choose layers yourself. Toggling any individual overlay below that doesn't match a preset switches the preset back to Custom automatically.

Bookable windows	Render your bookable availability band, the faint shaded time others can book with you. This is the master switch for the whole group; with it off, no booking-page windows show.	On
Bookable in month and agenda	Show the bookable layer in month and agenda views too. Month draws thin colored underlines at the foot of each day cell and agenda adds a plain "Bookable:" line, so turn this off if you want those two views kept to events alone. Week and day views are unaffected, so they follow the Bookable windows master switch.	On
New pages start visible	Paint a newly created booking page on the calendar right away. Turn it off and a page you create from the Booking pages section starts unchecked, so you can set its availability before it draws anything.	On
Booking pages start collapsed	Open the calendar with the Booking pages section of the side rail collapsed. This is the same state as the collapse control on the section heading itself, so collapsing it on the calendar updates this setting, and vice versa.	Off
My calendar starts collapsed	Open the calendar with the My calendar section of the side rail collapsed. Same two-way link as the row above: folding the section on the calendar updates this setting, and changing it here decides how the rail opens next time.	Off
Overlays start collapsed	Open the calendar with the Overlays section of the side rail collapsed. Useful if you keep the CRM overlays turned off and would rather not scroll past them to reach your booking pages.	Off

Which pages show is a per-page choice, not a preference

The settings above decide how the bookable layer behaves in general. Which booking pages are drawn is chosen with the checkboxes in the Booking pages section of the calendar side rail, because that choice belongs beside the pages themselves.

Overlays are read-only, and permission-scoped

The five CRM overlays (deal close dates, invoices due, quote expiries, campaign sends, and project timelines) are read-only signals: they appear in a muted tint and can't be edited or deleted from the calendar. You only see the overlay layers you have permission to view, so the options available to you depend on your role.

Events

How individual events render and quick-create.

Field	Description	Default
Show declined events	Show events you have declined in the grid. Turn this off to hide events you said no to and keep the calendar to what you plan to attend.	On
Default event duration	The length a quick-created event starts at when you click an empty time slot. Choose 15, 30, 45, 60, 90, or 120 minutes; you can still adjust the length on the event itself.	60 min

Display

Full-viewport focus behavior.

Field	Description	Default
Open calendar in focus mode	Promote the calendar to a full-viewport overlay whenever it opens, hiding the rest of the app so you can plan without distraction. You can still enter and leave focus mode from the calendar toolbar.	Off

Time & region

A few related settings live on their own pages, and the panel points at them.

Some calendar-adjacent settings belong to the whole app rather than just the calendar, so the panel links out to their own pages instead of duplicating them:

Field	Description
Time format & time zone	Your clock format (12-hour or 24-hour) and time zone. Opens your Profile settings via the "Manage in Profile" link.
Working-hours schedule	The booking availability the working-hours band is derived from. Opens your scheduler availability via the "Edit availability" link.

Theme is app-wide rather than a calendar setting, so it is not in this panel. Change it from the profile menu in the top-right corner, or on Settings > Appearance.

If a save does not stick

Preferences autosave, and a failed save says so rather than pretending: “Couldn’t save your calendar preferences. Please try again.” Change the setting again once you are back online.

Saving and syncing

Changes save themselves and follow you everywhere.

There is no Save button. Every change you make autosaves the moment you make it, and a brief Saved confirmation appears to let you know it stuck. Because the panel and the settings page read and write the same preferences, a change in one shows up in the other immediately. Because they are stored on your account rather than in the browser, they follow you to any device you sign in on.

See changes as you make them

Open the preferences panel from the gear on the Calendar page and the calendar stays visible behind it, so toggling a layer or switching density updates the grid right away, with no reload and no Save.
