Describe Your Audience with AI

Turn a plain-language description into filter conditions you review, edit, and save

What it does

Describe who you want to reach, and get a starting set of filter conditions you can review and edit.

A dynamic audience is defined by filter conditions: location, dates, email engagement, opt-in status, and more. Building those by hand is precise but slow. The AI audience builder lets you type what you want in plain language, for example “contacts in California created this year who opened a campaign”, and it drafts the matching filter conditions for you.

You are always in control
The assistant never creates a hidden audience. It only fills in the normal filter builder, so every condition is shown for you to review, change, or remove before you save. Nothing runs until you save the audience yourself.

Using it

It lives at the top of the dynamic-audience filter builder.

  1. Open Audiences and create a new audience, then choose Dynamic audience.
  2. In Describe your audience, type who you want to target in plain language.
  3. Select Draft filter. The matching conditions appear in the sections below.
  4. Review and edit every condition. Add anything the assistant left for you, such as tags or specific companies.
  5. Check the live match count, then save the audience through the usual button.

What it can and cannot draft

It fills the conditions it can infer from your words, and leaves the record-specific ones to you.

The assistant drafts conditions it can infer directly: company location (city, state, country), created and last-contacted date ranges, email engagement (opened, clicked, replied, never contacted, minimum open or click rate), primary-contact only, opt-in status, and billing cohorts such as having an open invoice or an outstanding quote.

It leaves conditions that point at specific records for you to choose: tags, individual companies, assigned owners, per-campaign behavior, and custom fields. When you describe one of those, or something the builder does not support (for example employee count or industry), the assistant tells you so you can add or adjust it yourself. Anything it cannot map is skipped rather than guessed.

On the Business and Ultra plans
The AI audience builder is available on Business and Ultra. On other plans you can still build the same audiences by hand in the filter builder.
