DocsMarketing Preferences
Set your personal defaults for the Marketing hub: which tab opens first, and which sub-page each of Campaigns and Cold Outreach lands on.
Tune how Marketing opens from a slide-in panel on the hub, or from a full settings page.
The Marketing hub is the entry point for your two outbound surfaces: Campaigns (broadcast email) and Cold Outreach (multi-step sequences, available on the Ultra plan). Marketing preferences decide where the hub takes you when you open it: which of the two tabs opens first, and which sub-page inside each tab you land on. You can reach these preferences two ways:
- The preferences panel. Open it from the gear on the Marketing hub. The gear sits in the hub header, so it's on every Marketing surface (both the Campaignsand Cold Outreach pages). It slides in from the right so you can change a setting and see it take effect the next time you open Marketing.
- The settings page. Go to Settings > Marketing, where the same personal defaults appear on a full page.
The section says it in one line: where Marketing opens when you land on it, saved to your account so it only affects your view, and applied when you open Marketing from the nav rather than when you switch tabs from inside the other one. The hub always opens to a tab you can actually access: if you pick a tab your role or plan doesn't include, it quietly falls back to one you can view.
| Field | Description | Type | Default |
|---|---|---|---|
| Default tab | Which primary Marketing tab opens first, Campaigns or Cold Outreach. If you choose a tab you don’t have access to, the hub opens the one you do. | Segmented | Campaigns |
| Default Campaigns view | Which Campaigns sub-page opens when Campaigns is your landing tab: Campaigns, Audiences, Templates, or Analytics. Shown when you can view Campaigns. | Dropdown | Campaigns |
| Default Cold Outreach view | Which Cold Outreach sub-page opens when Cold Outreach is your landing tab: Sequences, Leads, Mailboxes, or Analytics. Shown when you have Cold Outreach (Ultra) access, so you’re never offered a view you can’t reach. | Dropdown | Sequences |
The organization's sending and compliance catalog is edited in place, without leaving the hub.
Below your landing defaults, the panel renders your organization's full Cold Outreach settings so you can change them without leaving the hub. The rail at the top of the panel lists them: Tracking, Opt-out, Countries, Blocked, Skip dates, Promoting and Mailboxes. Every control edits in place and is the same setting as the one on Settings > Cold Outreach, so a change in either place shows up in the other straight away.
This section is panel-only, and it appears only if you can view Cold Outreach and your plan includes it. It is also the one part of the panel that is not mirrored on Settings > Marketing: the personal page keeps to personal defaults, and the org catalog keeps its own home under Settings > Cold Outreach.
The last section is not a set of personal defaults. It is a pointer to an org setting that lives elsewhere, and it appears only when you can view Campaigns. The section line says your business mailing address is shared with broadcast email and is edited on the Campaigns settings page.
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Campaigns sending setup | Your organization’s CAN-SPAM business mailing address for broadcast email. The “Manage campaign settings” link opens Settings > Campaigns, where the address is edited. It is deliberately not duplicated here. |
There is no save button. Every change you make saves the moment you make it, and a brief Saved indicator confirms it (you may see a quick Saving… first). If a change cannot be saved, a message tells you which setting it was and asks you to try again, and the control goes back to its previous value rather than showing a setting that did not stick. Because the panel and the settings page read and write the same preferences, a change in one shows up in the other right away, and because they are stored on your account rather than in the browser, they follow you to any device you sign in on.
If your preferences cannot be loaded at all, the panel says Couldn’t load your marketing preferences. with a Try again button, rather than showing you defaults you never chose.
