Marketing Preferences

Set your personal defaults for the Marketing hub — which tab opens first, and which sub-page each of Campaigns and Cold Outreach lands on.

Two ways to open your Marketing preferences

Tune how Marketing opens from a slide-in panel on the hub, or from a full settings page.

The Marketing hub is the entry point for your two outbound surfaces — Campaigns (broadcast email) and Cold Outreach (multi-step sequences, available on the Ultra plan). Marketing preferences decide where the hub takes you when you open it: which of the two tabs opens first, and which sub-page inside each tab you land on. You can reach these preferences two ways, and they always show the same values:

  • The preferences panel— open it from the gear on the Marketing hub. The gear sits in the hub header, so it's on every Marketing surface (both the Campaignsand Cold Outreach pages). It slides in from the right so you can change a setting and see it take effect the next time you open Marketing.
  • The settings page — go to Settings > Marketing, where the same controls appear on a full page.
Your view, not the org's setup
These preferences are personal to you and only change how the Marketing hub opens for you— your teammates keep their own defaults. They are separate from the org-level Campaigns and Cold Outreach settings (sending address, tracking domain, country rules), which apply to everyone. Nothing here changes a campaign, a sequence, or any org configuration.

Landing

Where Marketing opens when you land on it.

These defaults apply when you open Marketing from the nav — not when you switch tabs from inside the other one. The hub always opens to a tab you can actually access: if you pick a tab your role or plan doesn't include, it quietly falls back to one you can view.

Default Cold Outreach viewWhich Cold Outreach sub-page opens when Cold Outreach is your landing tab: Sequences, Leads, Mailboxes, or Analytics. Shown when you have Cold Outreach (Ultra) access, so you’re never offered a view you can’t reach.DropdownSequences
Applies when you open Marketing
The per-tab default views take effect at the moment you open Marketing from the nav. Once you're inside the hub, the tabs are ordinary links — clicking Campaigns or Cold Outreachtakes you to that tab's main page, not to your saved sub-page. Your default simply sets the starting point each time you arrive.

Sending setup & compliance

A couple of related settings live on their own pages — the hub just points at them.

The last section of the panel isn't a set of personal defaults — it's a set of shortcuts to org-level settings that live elsewhere, so you don't have to hunt for them. Each shortcut appears only when you can actually use it:

FieldDescription
Campaigns sending setupYour organization’s CAN-SPAM business mailing address for broadcast email. The “Manage campaign settings” link opens Settings > Campaigns.
Cold Outreach domain & complianceYour organization’s tracking domain and country sending rules. The “Manage Cold Outreach settings” link opens Settings > Cold Outreach.

Saving and syncing

Changes save themselves and follow you across devices.

There is no save button. Every change you make saves the moment you make it, and a brief Saved indicator confirms it (you may see a quick Saving…first). Because the panel and the settings page read and write the same preferences, a change in one shows up in the other right away — and because they are stored on your account rather than in the browser, they follow you to any device you sign in on.

Defaults, not locks
Everything here just decides where Marketing starts. Out of the box it opens to Campaigns, so your current landing spot stays the same until you change it. You can always switch tabs or open a different sub-page directly on the hub — your defaults simply set the starting point each time you open Marketing.
