Revise a quote without losing the original — the revision chain and audit trail
A sent quote is a record; a revision preserves it.
Once a quote has been sent, editing it in place would rewrite history — the customer might be looking at the figures you just changed. Instead you revise it: Laureo snapshots the current quote and opens a new revision you can change freely. The original is kept intact, so you always have a record of exactly what the customer saw.
Each revision links back to the one it came from.
Revisions form a chain — Rev 2 points at Rev 1, Rev 3 at Rev 2 — so you can trace how a deal evolved. The list shows the current revision number on each quote, and the detail page links to the earlier revisions in the chain. A rejected quote can be revised to keep the conversation moving without starting from scratch.
