Navigate day, week, and month calendar views
The calendar offers six view modes to help you visualize your schedule at different levels of detail.
The day view displays a single day broken into hourly time slots. Each activity appears as a block positioned at its scheduled time, with the block height proportional to the activity duration. This view is ideal for managing a busy day with back-to-back meetings and calls.
The 4-day view shows today and the next three days in a time-grid layout identical to the week view, but with only four columns. This is useful for focusing on the immediate short-term schedule without the full week's context.
The week view shows seven days side by side, each with hourly time slots. Activities are displayed as blocks within their respective day columns. All-day and multi-day events appear in a separate section above the time grid. Each column header shows the day name and a large date number.
The month view presents an entire month in a traditional grid layout. Days with scheduled activities show event indicators, with the number of events displayed for each day. When a day has more events than can fit in the cell, a "+N more" link appears that you can click to expand the full list. This view is best for planning ahead and spotting gaps in your schedule.
The year view shows all 12 months in a compact grid. Each mini-month displays a small calendar with day numbers. Days that have events show a colored dot below the date. Click any day to navigate to the month view for that date. Today is highlighted with a blue circle.
The agenda view shows a chronological list of events for the next 30 days, grouped by date. Each date appears as a section header, and events are listed beneath it with a color dot, title, person, company, and time. Days with no events show "No events." Today's date header is highlighted. This view is ideal for reviewing upcoming commitments in a simple list format.
Change the calendar view mode using the controls in the toolbar.
The view selector dropdown is located in the calendar toolbar. Select Day, 4 Day, Week, Month, Year, or Agenda to switch between modes. The calendar opens in month view by default. You can also use keyboard shortcuts to switch views (see below).
How activities and events appear on the calendar.
Events on the calendar are color-coded by activity type by default. You can also assign a custom color to any event (see Color Customization below). In month view, timed events display as compact pills with a colored dot, the start time, and the subject. All-day events appear as full-width colored bars. In week and day views, events are positioned blocks with a colored left border and a tinted background.
How time-based and multi-day events are rendered.
In the day and week views, time slots run vertically with hourly rows and half-hour dashed grid lines. Activities are placed at their scheduled time and their height reflects the duration. Overlapping events are displayed side by side in narrower columns so nothing is hidden. The views auto-scroll to 7 AM on load so working hours are immediately visible.
A red horizontal line marks the current time in day and week views. Multi-day events appear as colored bars in the all-day section above the time grid. In month view, multi-day events stretch across day cells with continuation bars for their full duration.
Understanding how busy days are represented in the monthly calendar.
In month view, each day cell displays up to four event previews. All-day and multi-day events appear as colored bars at the top of the cell. Timed events show as compact pills with a colored dot, time, and title. Days with more events show a "+N more" text link. Clicking "+N more" opens a popup listing all events for that day. Clicking any individual event opens its detail panel directly. The month grid dynamically shows 5 or 6 rows depending on how the dates fall.
Click on any event to see its full details.
Clicking an event on the calendar opens a detail panel showing the full activity information, including the type, subject, description, date and time, duration, and any associated company, person, or opportunity. The detail panel also displays sync status badges when a calendar integration is connected (see below). From the detail panel, you can navigate directly to the linked CRM record.
Quickly preview event details without clicking.
Hover over any event for about half a second to see a preview popup showing the title, time range, linked person and company, location, and quick action buttons for Edit, Delete, and Details. Moving your mouse onto the popup keeps it open. The popup closes when you move away.
Right-click any event to open a context menu with the following actions:
The context menu closes on click outside, pressing Escape, or scrolling.
Move and resize events by dragging them on the calendar.
You can reschedule events by dragging them to a new position on the calendar. Changes are saved automatically and synced to external calendars if connected.
External unlinked events (imported from Google or Outlook but not linked to a CRM activity) cannot be dragged. A ghost preview appears while dragging, and the drop target is highlighted.
Assign custom colors to individual events.
By default, events are colored by their activity type (e.g., blue for calls, amber for meetings). You can override this with a custom color per event using one of two methods:
Color changes are applied instantly (optimistic update) and persist across page reloads.
Modify or remove activities directly from the calendar view.
To edit an event, click on it to open the detail panel, then click the Edit button. You can also use the hover preview or right-click context menu to access the Edit action directly. This opens the unified activity modal in edit mode with all current values pre-filled. Make your changes and click Save to update the event. You can change the type, subject, time, duration, description, linked CRM records, color, or sync settings.
To delete an event, click the Delete button in the detail panel, hover preview, or context menu. Deleting an activity archives it in the CRM and removes the corresponding event from any connected external calendar (Google Calendar or Outlook). The activity is removed from the timeline of any linked company, person, or opportunity record.
Visual indicators showing whether an activity is synced to an external calendar.
When a calendar integration is connected, the activity detail panel displays badges indicating the sync state of each activity. These badges help you understand at a glance whether an event exists on your external calendar.
When editing an activity, the sync status changes to reflect what will happen when you save:
If you have not yet connected a Google Calendar or Outlook calendar, a dismissible banner appears at the top of the calendar page prompting you to connect. Clicking the banner link takes you to Settings > Integrations to set up the connection. Once dismissed, the banner does not reappear. Additionally, when creating or editing an activity, a Connect your calendar link appears in the activity modal in place of the Sync to Calendar checkbox, directing you to the integrations settings.
Navigate the calendar quickly with keyboard shortcuts.
Keyboard shortcuts are disabled when a modal is open or an input field is focused.
Find events by searching for text in the subject, description, or location.
A search bar is located in the calendar toolbar. Type at least 2 characters to search across event subjects, descriptions, and locations. Results appear as a scrollable list replacing the calendar view, showing a color dot, title, date, linked person, and activity type for each match. Click a result to navigate to that date in day view and open the event detail panel. Clear the search to return to the normal calendar view.
How repeating activities are displayed on the calendar.
Activities with a recurrence rule (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.) are automatically expanded into individual occurrences within the visible date range. Each occurrence shows a small recurrence icon. Clicking, editing, or deleting any occurrence affects the master event (the original recurring activity). The calendar displays up to 50 occurrences per recurring master event.
Quickly identify the current date on the calendar.
Today's date is highlighted with a blue circle around the date number in all views. In day, 4-day, and week views, a red horizontal line also marks the current time, updating every minute. Completed events appear with reduced opacity and a strikethrough on the subject text.
