Navigating the CRM

Learn the sidebar layout, global search, keyboard shortcuts, and theme options

Sidebar Navigation

The sidebar is your primary way to move between sections of the CRM.

The sidebar is organized into six labeled groups. Items appear under the group they belong to, and groups always render in the same order from top to bottom:

Overview

  • Home — Dashboard with stats, charts, and recent activity

Customers

  • Companies — Organization records and company details
  • People — Individual contacts linked to companies
  • Deals — Sales opportunities with values and close dates (includes the Pipeline board view)

Work

Your daily working surfaces, scheduling, AI and automation, and the revenue documents:

  • My Work — Your prioritized tasks and follow-ups
  • Calendar — Schedule activities, meetings, and follow-ups
  • Scheduler — Bookable meeting links and availability
  • Laureo AI — The AI assistant
  • Automations — Automation rules and AI agents with triggers and actions
  • Projects: Project management with stages and task boards
  • Products — Product catalog with pricing and descriptions
  • Quotes — Sales quotes with line items and approval workflows
  • Invoices — Invoice creation, sending, and payment tracking
  • Payments — Payment analytics and dispute management (expandable group with Analytics and Disputes sub-pages, requires Stripe Connect)

Marketing

A single Marketing entry opens a hub with two tabs:

  • Campaigns — Send bulk marketing email to your contact groups
  • Cold Outreach — Cold-outbound prospecting sequences (an Ultra-only module)

Communicate

  • Email — Your email inbox, with CRM context and AI features
  • Team Chat — Internal messaging with your team
  • Notifications — The full notifications inbox

Insights & Support

  • Reports — Analytics dashboards and custom report builder
  • Goals — Sales targets, quotas, and progress tracking
  • Leaderboard — Team performance rankings
  • Service — The unified support hub: the ticket Inbox, knowledge base, customer feedback (CSAT/NPS/CES), and a service overview, all on one customer record
Campaigns and Cold Outreach live under Marketing
Both sending products share one sidebar entry. Click Marketing to open the hub, then switch between the Campaigns tab (bulk marketing email to your contact groups) and the Cold Outreach tab (Ultra-only cold prospecting to new leads). The Marketing entry appears as long as you can reach at least one of the two tabs.
Permission-based visibility
Sidebar items are shown or hidden based on your role's permissions. For example, if your role does not have the “Campaigns → View” permission, the Campaigns item will not appear in your sidebar. This means different team members may see different navigation items depending on their assigned role.

Sidebar Collapse & Mobile

On desktop, click the collapse button at the bottom of the sidebar to switch between the full expanded view and a compact icon-only view. The collapsed state is remembered across sessions. On mobile devices, the sidebar is hidden by default — tap the hamburger menu icon in the top-left corner of the top bar to open it as an overlay. Tap anywhere outside the sidebar or select a menu item to close it.

Customize Your Menu Order

You can reorder the items in your sidebar to put your most-used sections first. On desktop, click Customize nav at the bottom of the sidebar to enter reorder mode, then drag items into the order you prefer. Items can be reordered within their group — for example, moving People above Companies inside the Customers group — but they stay in their own group. Click Done when you are finished.

Your custom order is saved to your account, so it follows you across devices and does not affect your teammates. To go back to the standard layout, open Customize nav again and click Reset to default.

Top Bar

The top bar provides quick access to search, notifications, and your profile.

Page Title

The left side of the top bar displays the current page title so you always know where you are in the CRM.

Search Pill

A search button sits in the center of the top bar. Click it or press ⌘+K on Mac (Ctrl+K on Windows/Linux) to open the global search dialog. See the Global Search section below for details.

Notification Bell

The bell icon shows a badge when you have unread notifications. Click it to open the notifications dropdown with four tabs (All, Unread, Mentions, Assigned), per-row snooze (1 hour, 4 hours, Tomorrow), archive, and a View all notifications → link to the full Notifications Inboxat /notifications. The inbox adds search, filters, bulk actions, custom snooze, and keyboard navigation — jump to it from anywhere with G then I.

Reminder Notifications

Activity reminders appear as toast notifications when a scheduled reminder time arrives. These are triggered for activities where you set a reminder date, keeping you on top of follow-ups and meetings without needing to check the calendar.

Profile Avatar

Your profile avatar appears on the right side of the top bar. Click it to open the profile menu with links to your settings, the admin panel (visible to users with admin permissions only), and a sign-out option.

Global Search

Find any record instantly across your entire CRM.

Press ⌘+K on Mac or Ctrl+K on Windows/Linux to open the global search dialog. You can also click the search pill in the top bar.

Start typing to search across companies, people, and opportunities simultaneously. Results appear as you type, grouped by entity type. Click a result or use the arrow keys and press Enter to navigate directly to that record.

Press Esc or click outside the dialog to close it without navigating.

Quick access from anywhere
Global search works from any page in the CRM. It is the fastest way to jump to a specific company, person, or opportunity without navigating through the sidebar.

Theme Toggle

Switch between light and dark appearances.

The theme toggle button in the top bar cycles through three modes on each click:

  • Light — Always uses the light color scheme
  • Dark — Always uses the dark color scheme
  • System — Automatically follows your operating system's preference and updates in real time if you change your OS setting

Your theme preference is saved locally and persists across sessions.

Session Timeout

Stay secure with automatic session management.

For security, your session will expire after a period of inactivity. When your session is about to expire, a warning dialog appears giving you the option to extend your session with a single click. If you do not respond, you will be automatically logged out and redirected to the sign-in page.

Any unsaved changes in open forms are preserved in your browser so you can resume after signing back in.

Profile Menu

Access your account settings and sign out.

Click your profile avatar in the top-right corner to open the profile menu. The menu includes:

  • Settings — Opens your personal settings page where you can update your profile, email signature, notification preferences, and security options
  • Admin Panel — Visible only to users whose role includes admin permissions (e.g., User Management). Provides access to user management, organization configuration, pipelines, custom fields, and integrations
  • Sign Out — Ends your current session and returns you to the sign-in page
Admin-only access
The Admin Panel link only appears in the profile menu for users whose role includes the User Management permission. If you need admin access, ask your organization's administrator to update your role or assign you a role with admin permissions.
