Laureo vs the Mailchimp CRM

The Mailchimp CRM is a set of marketing tools: audiences, segments and tags, priced by contact tier, with no sales pipeline, quotes or invoices. Laureo is the sales CRM with email campaigns built in on every plan and unlimited contacts on all plans.

Verified October 2026As of October 2026, Mailchimp Essentials shows $13 a month for the first 12 months at 500 contacts, and every paid plan is priced by contact tier (mailchimp.com/pricing).

Is Mailchimp a CRM?

Mailchimp offers marketing CRM tools: an audience with segments, tags and a dashboard for targeting email, but no sales pipeline, deals, quotes or invoices. Mailchimp itself says a team that needs more can sync an external CRM through its integrations directory, while Laureo is that CRM, with email campaigns built in on every plan.

In Laureo a campaign sent to a contact group shows on each contact's page, and their company's page lists its deals, quotes and invoices, all in the same CRM, so a segment can be built from open invoices and outstanding quotes as well as from email activity.

Does Mailchimp integrate with HubSpot?

Yes, in a limited way: HubSpot's Mailchimp integration adds contacts from HubSpot to Mailchimp lists one way only and sends just the first name, last name and email address, and a two-way sync needs HubSpot's separate data sync. Laureo sends email campaigns from the same CRM that holds the deals, so a list never has to travel between two tools.

How much does Mailchimp cost as your list grows?

Mailchimp prices every paid plan by contact tier: Essentials shows $13 a month for the first 12 months at 500 contacts, Premium $350 at 10,000 contacts, and unsubscribed contacts count toward the total. Laureo has unlimited contacts on all plans, so the list size never sets your tier, and each plan includes a monthly campaign send allowance, from 2,000 sends on Pro to 50,000 on Ultra.

Going past the contact limit on a paid Mailchimp plan adds a charge to the bill, and SMS, transactional email and website plans are add-on fees outside the marketing plan.

The verdict

Why Laureo wins against Mailchimp

  • Unlimited contacts and companies on every plan, with no contact tiers to outgrow.
  • One plan and one bill cover your CRM, inbox, email campaigns, booking pages, and quotes and invoices, so you stop paying for separate tools.
  • Every plan includes monthly AI credits for the assistant, the agents and email drafting.
  • The AI never trains on your data, and every AI request goes only to providers that keep none of it.

Why teams switch

Why teams move from Mailchimp to Laureo

  • A pipeline beside the listDeals, quotes and invoices sit in the same CRM as the contacts you email, and a company page lists all three. Mailchimp's marketing CRM is segments, tags and an audience dashboard, with no sales pipeline.
  • Unlimited contacts on all plansAdd every lead and keep every past customer without changing tier. Mailchimp prices each paid plan by contact total and counts unsubscribed contacts.
  • One bill, fewer add-onsCampaigns, booking pages, quotes and invoices come on every plan, with the help desk on Business and Ultra. Mailchimp bills SMS, transactional email and website plans as add-on fees.
  • AI on every planEvery plan includes monthly AI credits for drafting email. Mailchimp's Write with AI starts on Standard, so Essentials and Free have none.
  • Your data never trains the AILaureo's AI never trains on your data. Mailchimp's terms let it use Customer Data in AI inputs and outputs to improve its AI model.
AI agents

Mailchimp's AI, and Laureo's agent roster

Mailchimp's AI

Mailchimp offers Write with AI on Standard and higher, so Essentials and Free have no generative AI, and Intuit Assist is in beta at no added cost only at this time; Laureo includes monthly AI credits on every plan for the assistant, the agents and email drafting.

Laureo runs named agents instead. They work in the background and share one pool of monthly AI credits with no per-conversation fees. By default, every agent except Ticket Triage asks before it changes anything, and each comes with every plan; Ticket Triage comes with Ultra.

  • Lead Router reads each new form lead, drafts a first reply and proposes an owner and a follow-up task.
  • Deal Follow-Up flags deals that have gone quiet and drafts the next follow-up.
  • Duplicate Guard checks each new company for a duplicate and proposes the merge.
  • Quote Follow-Up drafts a follow-up when a client opens a quote without accepting it.
  • Inbox Clerk turns email from your contacts into CRM work, such as a task, a ticket or a deal link.
  • Ticket Triage sorts each new customer ticket and finds the matching help article, on the Ultra plan.
