Laureo vs Help Scout
Help Scout is a support tool priced per user, and the customer record it shows beside a conversation comes from Salesforce or HubSpot through integrations listed on Plus. Laureo is the CRM itself, with the help desk, knowledge base and live chat on Business and Ultra.
What is Help Scout used for?
Help Scout is used to answer customer support: shared inboxes, live chat, Docs knowledge base sites and the Envoy AI assistant, priced per user from $25 a month billed annually on Standard. It is a support tool only, so the deals, campaigns and invoices of the same customers live in another product.
Help Scout counts its inboxes and Docs sites per plan and charges for more: $10 an inbox and $20 a Docs site a month billed annually. Envoy is charged per resolution on any plan.
Does Help Scout have a CRM?
No built-in sales CRM: Help Scout shows customer profiles for support and pulls customer activity from Salesforce or HubSpot through integrations listed on Plus, at $45 per user a month billed annually. Laureo is the CRM first, and on Business and Ultra a support email from a known contact opens a ticket on that contact and their company, with the count and value of that company's open deals beside it and no second product to keep in sync.
A Laureo ticket can also turn into a new linked deal or task from the queue, so a support question that becomes a sale stays linked to the ticket it started as.

Can Help Scout send email campaigns?
Not as a feature on its pricing page: Help Scout Messages send targeted messages to visitors on a website or in an app, and the page lists no email campaigns, quotes or invoices. Laureo sends email campaigns on every plan, with unlimited contacts on all plans, from the same CRM your support team works in on Business and Ultra.
Why Laureo wins against Help Scout
- One plan and one bill cover your CRM, inbox, email campaigns, booking pages, and quotes and invoices, so you stop paying for separate tools.
- Email campaigns are built in on every plan, with unlimited contacts on all plans.
- Quotes, invoices and payment reminders are built in on every plan, with no billing add-on.
- Business and Ultra include a second full seat in the plan price, and no plan has a seat minimum.

Why teams move from Help Scout to Laureo
- The CRM is the record, not an integrationOn Business and Ultra, a support email from a known contact opens a Laureo ticket on that contact and their company, with the count and value of that company's open deals beside it. Help Scout pulls customer activity from Salesforce or HubSpot through integrations listed on Plus.
- Sales tools in the same planThe pipeline, email campaigns, booking pages, quotes and invoices come on every plan. Help Scout's pricing page lists support features only.
- No per-resolution AI billOn Ultra, the resolution agent drafts and auto-resolves support replies under your control, included with fair-use limits. Help Scout charges $0.75 for each conversation Envoy resolves.
- A second seat includedBusiness and Ultra include a second full seat, with no seat minimum. Help Scout bills every user, and Pro starts at 10 users.
- Support questions that become salesOn Business and Ultra, a ticket turns into a new linked deal or task from the queue, so the follow-up stays linked to the ticket it came from.
Help Scout's AI, and Laureo's agent roster
Help Scout includes AI Assist on its paid plans and AI Drafts on Plus and Pro, and sells Envoy, the assistant that answers customers, at $0.75 per resolution with an optional monthly cap; Laureo includes monthly AI credits on every plan, and on Ultra its resolution agent drafts support replies for a person to approve by default.
Laureo runs named agents instead. They work in the background and share one pool of monthly AI credits with no per-conversation fees. By default, every agent except Ticket Triage asks before it changes anything, and each comes with every plan; Ticket Triage comes with Ultra.
- Lead Router reads each new form lead, drafts a first reply and proposes an owner and a follow-up task.
- Deal Follow-Up flags deals that have gone quiet and drafts the next follow-up.
- Duplicate Guard checks each new company for a duplicate and proposes the merge.
- Quote Follow-Up drafts a follow-up when a client opens a quote without accepting it.
- Inbox Clerk turns email from your contacts into CRM work, such as a task, a ticket or a deal link.
- Ticket Triage sorts each new customer ticket and finds the matching help article, on the Ultra plan.
Your data stays yours. Every record is isolated to your workspace, and the AI never trains on or keeps your data.
