Inventory & Orders

A CRM with inventory management, from purchase order to shipment.

Track what is on hand, allocated and available in each location, buy stock back in on purchase orders, and fulfill sales orders that start from the quote your customer accepted. Inventory comes with every plan: mark a product as a physical good and the stock, order and shipment screens appear.

No stock spreadsheet or separate order desk beside your CRM: stock and orders run in Laureo, with the deal and the invoice.

What is the best CRM with inventory management?

The best CRM with inventory management keeps stock, purchase orders and sales orders in the same CRM as the deal and the invoice, so a rep can see what is available before promising a date. Laureo includes that on every plan, with unlimited contacts on all plans.

As of October 28, 2026, Zoho CRM adds inventory management for sales and purchase orders, products and vendors from its Professional edition, listed at $23 per user a month billed annually. Close's plan comparison, Apollo's plan chart and Nutshell's product menu list no inventory.

Do I need separate inventory software if my CRM tracks stock?

Not for the stock a sales team sells from: Laureo counts on hand, allocated and available by location, receives purchase orders and ships sales orders, so the numbers and the customer record stay in one place. A business that builds products from parts or runs a large warehouse floor still needs a production or warehouse system, because Laureo has no bills of materials or pick routes.

Stock levels

An inventory CRM that knows what you can promise

Every product, or every variant of it, carries three numbers in each location. The one to watch before you promise a delivery date is available.

  • On handThe units physically in a location right now.
  • AllocatedUnits committed to orders that have not shipped yet.
  • AvailableOn hand minus allocated: what a new order can still claim.
  • Reorder pointsSet one on a stock line and you are alerted when available stock falls to it.
  • Adjustments and transfersCorrect a count with a note, or move units between locations.

Two orders can never claim the same last unit: an allocation that would push available stock below zero is refused.

Purchase orders

Buy stock back in on a purchase order

A purchase order records what you are buying from a vendor, how many, at what cost, and into which location. Send it, then receive against it as the goods arrive, and the units land in stock.

  • Partial receivingLog the part of the delivery that came today and the rest when it lands.
  • Status you can readDraft, sent, partially received and received, with a notice when it is complete.
  • Drop-ship linesTie a purchase order to a customer order and the vendor ships to them directly.
  • Vendor recordsEach supplier keeps its contact, its default currency and the payment terms you agreed.
Sales orders

Sales orders that start from the accepted quote

When a customer accepts a quote that includes goods, Laureo opens a sales order for them, so nobody keys the order in twice. The order knows what was ordered, what is left to ship and what is left to bill.

  • Allocate from available stockReserve units in a location for this order before they ship.
  • Ship what you haveSend the units on hand now and keep the rest of the line open.
  • Backorders that tell someoneA short line becomes a backorder and the order owner is notified.
  • Billing that reconcilesShipping and invoicing move at their own pace and still add up.
Shipments & returns

A record for every box that leaves

Each dispatch against a sales order is a shipment: it draws the shipped units out of stock and keeps its own record, so the answer to where is my order sits on one page.

  • Carrier and tracking numberRecorded on the shipment when it leaves.
  • Packing slipThe exact units that went, line by line.
  • Returns back into stockA returned unit comes back in, to a quarantine location if you keep one.
Variants & units

Variants, SKUs and units of measure, counted right

One product can have many sellable versions, and each one is counted on its own, so you know how many black mediums are left, not only how many shirts.

  • Variants by optionSize, color, voltage: each variant has its own SKU and its own stock.
  • Units of measureSell by the case and stock by the unit, with the conversion done as stock moves.
  • Serial numbersFollow a high-value unit from the day it is received to the shipment that sent it.
The goods flow

One order, from the vendor to the customer's door

Most teams that sell goods run CRM and inventory management software as two systems and match them up by hand. In Laureo each step below is a screen in the same CRM.

  1. 1
Mark the product as a good
The stock, order and shipment screens appear for it.
  2. 2
    Raise a purchase order
Send it to the vendor and receive what arrives.
  3. 3
    The customer accepts a quote
A sales order opens for the goods on it.
  4. 4
    Allocate and ship
Record the carrier and the tracking number.
  5. 5
    Invoice the order
The order tracks what is still to bill.
