Migration Guide

Moving from an IT services platform to Laureo

Every professional services and IT management product we can read, in one table: what its own download hands you, and what that download leaves behind. Some of them answer the export question with a plain no, and this page repeats it rather than softening it.

After the move

Your records land in one database, and the AI can act on all of them. A sample prompt once you are in:

Hey Laureo, list every client we brought across with an open ticket and no contact this week, then draft a short update to each owner for my approval.

Good to know

  • One file can hold up to 10,000 rows.
  • One file can be up to 10 megabytes.
  • You can undo a move for 30 days after it finishes.
  • You can undo a single file import for 24 hours after it finishes.

How each one gets out

One row per product. What its export gives you is read from what Laureo actually recognises, and what stays behind is the same honest list the review screen shows you again before anything is written. Where a product says outright that there is no way to take everything at once, the row says that too.

The product you are leavingWhat its export gives youWhat stays behind
Atera
  • Customers report
  • Contacts list
  • Tickets list
  • Devices, alerts and the monitoring history that sits behind them are not something we hold, so they stay where they are.
  • There is no export everything button here.
  • Reports come back around 5,000 rows at a time, so a long customer list arrives as several files.
  • Tickets and contacts have no export button on the screen.
  • Photos and files come over on their own.
  • Saved replies are set up in Laureo rather than carried across.
Autotask
  • Organizations export
  • Contacts export
  • The contacts report stops at 5,000 records.
  • The full account backup is not a file anyone can read.
  • The uploaded files in that zip have generic names and no extension.
  • Both exports sit behind a named security permission.
  • Past 50,000 organizations their own advice is to run the report by territory, so a large customer list arrives as several files.
  • Your backup keeps its file attachments in an encrypted store with generic names.
  • Photos and files come over on their own.
ConnectWise PSA
  • Companies file
  • Contacts file
  • Service tickets file
  • Their help site is behind a customer login, so we have not been able to read what their export produces.
  • Most people leaving this one get their files from a migration service rather than from a button in the product.
  • Photos and files come over on their own.
HaloPSA
  • Clients file
  • Users file
  • Tickets file
  • Their help site does not serve readable pages, so we have not been able to record what this one can export.
  • They list migration partners on their own integrations page, and a file from one of those is fine here.
  • Photos and files come over on their own.
Syncro
  • Customer Export
  • Ticket Export
  • Invoice Export
  • Contacts are not on the export screen.
  • Ticket comments are not on the export screen either.
  • We keep one total for each invoice and what has been paid against it, so the balance still owing is worked out rather than stored.
  • There is no one button that exports everything.
  • The invoice list can also be pulled straight from its own web address instead of the export screen.
  • Photos and files come over on their own.
  • Saved replies are set up in Laureo rather than carried across.
Kaseya BMS
  • No article about taking your own records out surfaced in the published knowledge base.
  • Nothing is published, so nobody can tell you what a download would leave behind.
SuperOps
  • Getting records in is documented in detail. Getting them out is not documented at all.
  • Nothing is published, so nobody can tell you what a download would leave behind.
