Do my forms and contracts come across?

Not as forms. The built in shape of a form belongs to the product it was built in. The documents themselves come over in a second step: send us a zip of them with a list saying which record each one belongs to.

Do my projects keep their client?

Yes, by name. Send the client file first and each project attaches itself to the client named on its row.

Can I run both for a while?

Yes, and most teams do for a week or two while they check what landed. Records move by file, so there is no live connection between the two and nothing to unpick on the other side.

Moving from a client workflow tool to Laureo

Every client workflow product we can read, in one table: what its own download hands you, and what that download leaves behind. Your clients, your contacts and your projects come across as files, and your inbox comes across live.

After the move

Your records land in one database, and the AI can act on all of them. A sample prompt once you are in:

“Hey Laureo, show me every project we brought across that has had no activity in two weeks, then draft a short check in note to each client owner for my approval.”

Good to know

One file can hold up to 10,000 rows.
One file can be up to 10 megabytes.
You can undo a move for 30 days after it finishes.
You can undo a single file import for 24 hours after it finishes.

How each one gets out

One row per product. What its export gives you is read from what Laureo actually recognises, and what stays behind is the same honest list the review screen shows you again before anything is written.

17hats	Contacts export	The contacts file is the whole export. Projects and workflow steps are not in the contacts file. Quotes, invoices and payments are not in the contacts file, so nothing lands in your billing records. Calendar appointments and logged time are not in the contacts file. Contacts come out through the Export Contacts action on the contacts list. The column names are what we expect rather than what we have seen, so check the preview before you start and tell us if a column is missing. Photos and files come over on their own.

Form and questionnaire answers live in their own structure outside the standard export, so they are not in the file at all and cannot come across. Canned emails, workflow steps and scheduled reminders stay behind. Client portal logins, and anything a client typed into a portal form, stay behind. Contract signature status comes out as a word on the project row and we have nowhere to put it, so it is not brought across. How much of a project has already been paid stays with whichever product holds the money. An invoice amount column is not a billing history. Bring invoices across from your accounting product instead, and we will match them to the clients and projects these files create. Calendar appointments are an export of their own and are not part of the clients, projects or contacts files. You need three exports, not one. The export runs from a desktop browser only, so start it on a computer rather than on a phone. Only the account owner, or someone the owner has given permission to export, can run it. Everything comes out as a comma separated file. Photos and files come over on their own.
